Can I combine both STEMI’s STEM programs?

Sure thing! STEMI wants to cover all industry 4.0 verticals (AI, robotics/drones, IoT, AR/VR, etc.) and we encourage you to use all our STEM programs if you wish to get and teach relevant tech knowledge, directly from the industry.

Robotics is a hands-on project-based program and AI tickles students’ imagination with all the possibilities of its application in the real world so both are very valuable for a young developing engineer.

Under which grades are your STEM programs?

STEMI creates industry-based STEM programs for middle and high school students. We adjust the level of complexity according to age and experience. For example, for both Robotics and AI have a middle school version that usually involves block programming for the coding portion of the program and in high school versions, syntax coding is used by students.

How many programs does STEMI have?

Currently, we have 2 STEM programs – Robotics and Artificial Intelligence STEM programs.

Can I become your industry partner?

Sure thing, if you are working in the tech sector and you want to pass your passion to younger generations or just work on your employer branding we will gladly consider cooperation.

What if I have another idea for cooperation and has to do with STEM education?

Great, please let us know your idea and contact us on sales@stemi.education.

That’s great, we would love to cooperate with you. We will do the teacher training for you.

Do I have to be a publisher to be a partner?

No, we work with a wide variety of partners, from specialized educational companies (companies providing STEM education to schools), via publishers, social impact partners and organizations and governments, all institutions included in the education ecosystem wanting to provide the best STEM education and programs on the market.

How can I become a STEMI partner?

Please contact us at sales@stemi.education so we can explore how we can partner up.

What if something breaks on my Hexapod?

In case you break something you can always 3D print it out (if it is a plastic part) or you can order replacement parts with us or the company that sold you the robots. All the electronic parts have a 2-year warranty if used as prescribed.

Please contact our support via STEMI Chat or Email support@stemi.education if you have any problem with the parts.

What if there is a missing part in a box?

If that is the case, please contact our support via STEMI Chat or Email support@stemi.education or get in touch with our partners who sold you the robots, we will resend the parts needed.

Can I create something other than the spider-like walking robot out of these parts?

No, the parts are intended to be made for creating a Hexapod but don’t worry, there is plenty of fun and customization available with Hexapod as it is.

What if something is not working on the robot?

If there is a malfunction, please contact our support via STEMI Chat or Email support@stemi.education or get in touch with our partners who sold you the robots. We will make sure to get you back on track at breakneck speed.

Do I get a battery to run the Hexapod?

Yes, you get a rechargeable battery that gives you 45 – 60 minutes of playing time with the Hexapod.

Can you download the app to control the Hexapod?

Sure, you can find the app on Google Playstore and Apple Store, download it to use with Hexapod or you can program one yourself.

What can you do with Hexapod?

Hexapod has many functions. First of all, it is a part of the Robotics STEM program and one can learn 3D modeling, creating a mobile app, and programming using Hexapod. It has many sensors, different walking styles, programmable LED lights, and many other functions. We have also added additional sensors to the platform so there is so much stuff one can do with our Hexapod.

For which age is Hexapod made for?

Hexapod is made for middle school and high school students, grades 7 – 12.

What is a Hexapod?

Hexapod is a 6-legged walking robot that is a base of our Robotics STEM program. It comes in a box in parts and robot assembly is a part of the Robotics STEM program.

What is on STEMI Lab?

By logging in to STEMI Lab teachers and students can access classroom materials, teachers can communicate with STEMI staff and other teachers, and get deep insights into learning processes.

How do I access STEMI Lab?

You can access STEMI Lab by visiting – https://lab.stemi.education/.

What is STEMI Lab?

STEMI Lab is our innovative educational platform designed for immersive and scalable industry-based STEM experience. Both teachers and students use the platform to interact with digital content.

What is included in the price of the AI Chatbot program?

Teacher training, access to the AI curriculum for the teacher and the whole class, cloud consumption, and 24/7 support in program implementation are included in the price of the AI Chatbot program.

Is there somebody to contact if I need help with the implementation of the program?

Sure, within the STEMI Lab there is a direct chat with our Educators who created the program and will help you to overcome any struggles in the classroom.

Do teachers get sufficient training for the program?

Yes, STEMI makes sure that you get enough training to run the program, either we teach you or our educational partners. Teacher training takes two 8-hour days to complete.

How long does it take to run the AI chatbot program?

The program is modular and can be run either in 1 or 2 semesters, depending on the student’s age.

Where do I find an AI Chatbot program?

You can find the AI Chatbot program together with all digital classroom materials on STEMI Lab (https://lab.stemi.education/)

What is the purpose of the AI program?

The purpose is for students to get to know the basics of Artificial Intelligence and to teach them how to build conversational systems, their own chatbots while mastering Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning. Additionally, students get to study UN Sustainable Development Goals, and using Design Thinking they build chatbot solutions that can be implemented in their local community for reaching SDGs.

Do you need any prerequisite knowledge to run an AI Chatbot program in the classroom?

For the first part of the program, you do not need any prerequisite knowledge as the students are creating their chatbots using Answers – block programming platform.

For the second part of the program, students should have previous knowledge of Python programming.

What if my students do not code in Python?

We prepared a crash course in Python programming for those who never used Python.

The course is available on STEMI Lab.

Do we need to pay extra for using Answers?

No, the use of the Answers platform is included in the price of the AI chatbot program?

What is the Answers platform and why is it relevant?
